Happy Monday! I love creating beauty content, and I’ve decided to write a little weekly beauty edit on my favorite products of the moment.
Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter in Girl Next Door/Chic Phreak
This is a gorgeous, gorgeous highlighter described as a soft pink sheen and supercharged peachy pink shimmer. I’m really picky about highlighters, mainly because I’m head over heels for BECCA Cosmetics (Champagne Pop hellllllo) & Laura Geller highlighters (Ballerina is my favorite). The Kilawatt Highlighter is definitely not as soft as BECCA & LG, but instead makes a vibrant, powerful glow on your cheekbones. This is the perfect highlighter for when you really want to make an entrance.
Fenty Beauty Match Stix Trio in Medium 200 – Bamboo, Mocha, Trippin
The Match Stix are perfect for contouring on-the-go. They go on smoothly, have a lot of product (in my opinion), and the brush (BUY THIS) is incredible and one of the best all-over blending brushes I’ve ever used – I mean it!
Tatcha Camellia Gold Spun Lip Balm
You. need. this. This will become your go-to lip balm, especially for instant repair overnight. I honestly was swayed to buy this after reading the reviews on Sephora’s website. Plus I’m a diva and can’t say no to a little gold *sassy girl emoji* But in all honesty, I definitely need some lip repair because I don’t drink enough water (haha), and this does the trick overnight. Do your pucker a favor and try this!
Urban Decay The Velvetizer Translucent Mix-In Medium
I recently stopped by one of my favorite PR showrooms, Alison Brod PR, and picked up a few Urban Decay products to try. I’ve always been a big fan of Urban Decay, ever since purchasing my first Naked palette (this one!), and I’m pretty sure I solely wore Half Baked everyday in college before I started loving makeup. I’ve found that Urban Decay products are always high-quality with high pigmentation (the Naked Heat palette is insane!). I also love the unique, edgy packaging and on-point branding. I tried the Velvetizer Medium by mixing it with my Urban Decay Naked foundation – and can honestly say that the coverage was unreaaaal. It really makes your foundation have a velvet-like, matte finish. You can mix in more of the medium for a thicker consistency for fuller coverage, or just add a little bit in to make your foundation a bit smoother. Would definitely recommend this product!
BECCA Cosmetics Lush Lip Colour Balm in Chai Crème
Time after time, BECCA Cosmetics has remained my favorite beauty brand. I ordered the BECCA Lush Lip Colour Balm in Chai Crème after a recommendation from Courtney of Bring Your Own Beauty. This is the perfect neutral lip shade for fall – I’m soooo happy with it and wear it almost every day!
Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer
Love this gloss – it’s sheer with a little bit of sparkle, and is perfect over the BECCA lip above. This pairing is simple for an everyday look – I wear it to work all the time. I also really like that they’re not overly expensive, but definitely deliver on the quality.
Models Own Colour Chrome Eyeshadow Kit in Copper Lustre
I really want to create a metallic copper, almost chrome, eyeshadow look this fall, and this is the perfect eyeshadow to do that. It comes with a solution that you mix in to really get that chrome effect, but I’ve found that I love it on its own. You can add multiple layers to really create a chrome look, or layer it on lightly (see below image, left swatch). The middle swatch is the Models Own Sculpt & Glow Highlighter Powder in Peach Pearl, and the swatches on both ends are different layers of the Colour Chrome Eyeshadow Kit in Copper Lustre.
Thank you for reading! I plan on putting up weekly beauty edits! I’ll soon be reviewing a few Marc Jacobs Beauty favorites, along with a few favorites from the Kylie Cosmetics Fall Collection, and the new Fenty Beauty Galaxy palette! I also link my favorite beauty products of the season on my Shop page!
