As I start to launch new beauty content, I want to stress how important is to take care of your skin, especially during the summer. As the days get warmer and longer, staying out in the sun all day sounds better than ever. What we tend to forget (especially as millennials) is that the sun can do extreme damage to our skin, causing dryness and aging. I recently heard about the partnership between SK-II and National Geographic, which is putting SK-II’s iconic Facial Treatment Essence to the test by confronting it with incredibly harsh environments.
My favorite campaign, appropriately named “Face the Wild”, features influencers Chiara Ferragni as she sets out on a expedition to the (extremely dry) Anza-Borrego Desert in Southern California to put SK-II to the test. SK-II’s Facial Treatment Essence is made with PiteraTM, the brand’s signature ingredient that contains amino acids, vitamins, organic acids, and minerals that help lock in moisture, overcome dryness, and protect from UV damage.
Watch below how Chiara takes the desert heat head on and protects her skin, proving that if SK-II’s Facial Treatment Essence can hold up there, it can hold up anywhere.
