Happy Tuesday! I’m so excited to write this post, because I had an incredible time in Watch Hill, Rhode Island with the Lilly Pulitzer team last week. A little background on the collaboration, Lilly Pulitzer and Ocean House properties (Ocean House & Watch Hill Inn) teamed up to create a custom suite and amenities at both of their properties, to celebrate the opening of their first retail location in Watch Hill. If you haven’t been – you need to go asap! This was maybe my fifth time in Watch Hill, but my first time actually staying at the Ocean House. Watch Hill, itself, has that small New England charm that comes alive in the summer, and is really similar to other resort towns such as Montauk, Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard, and Newport. What better way to bring in the summer by celebrating in color with Lilly Pulitzer?!
ARRIVING AT THE OCEAN HOUSE
On Wednesday of last week, I drove up to Rhode Island from NJ (after some car trouble, ugh) and met up with my friend Andrea of A Slice o’ Pi, who had arrived the day before. The weather was BEAUTIFUL and the gorgeous, grand architecture of the Ocean House leaves me in awe again and again (seriously, whaaaat!) P.S. Taylor Swift’s summer house is only a few minutes’ walk from the resort!
After enjoying lunch on the Club Terrace (hellllllllo Lobster Roll) with the Lilly Pulitzer & Ocean House teams, we snapped a few pictures at the resort. If it looks like we’re having fun, it’s because we are! Andrea is one of my best friends, and getting to go on a mini vacation with her was so much fun! There are very few people as genuine and easygoing as her, and it made all of these picture moments so fun!
LILLY PULITZER LOBSTAH ROLL
While we were in Rhode Island, Lilly Pulitzer re-launched one of their archived prints, Lobstah Roll, and Andrea and I helped announce it! Take a peak on their Instagram here, here, and here to see how we celebrated! I’m wearing the Rylie dress, and Andrea is wearing the Tala romper!
Seriously, how pretty is the Ocean House?! *swoon* Not only is there a gorgeous pool, but there’s a secret rosé garden (more to come…), a full croquet court, and a ton of dining options (one of my favorites being the Seaside Terrace)!
LILLY PULITZER CABANAS
After lunch, we headed to the beach to see the Lilly Pulitzer cabanas. The beach was beautiful, the weather was perfect, and Dune Cottage looked picturesque nestled between the cabanas and the resort.
Having a little fun in the water! Andrea is wearing the Lobstah Roll Pearl Shift Dress.
CHECK-IN & VEUVE CLICQUOT SECRET GARDEN
After a little sun, we checked into our room which was unbelievable. We walked into a beautiful suite, with stocked Lilly Pulitzer bags on the bed, and a sweet welcome message from the Ocean House team. After further hotel exploring, we got ready in our Lilly and headed to the Veuve Clicquot Secret Garden, the newest al fresco dining added to the hotel. We ate a few light bites (mini hot dogs & gourmet popcorn, to start), along with a *few* glasses of champagne.
Myself and Caroline, the ultimate Lilly babe behind the PR for the brand.
The whole crew of lady bosses! Bloggers, journalists, content creators, and PR gurus! I had such a fun time getting to know these ladies, and loved ending the night with them and a glass of champagne!
BREAKFAST IN THE PENTHOUSE
Day Two, baby! After some much-needed sleep, we headed to the Penthouse at Ocean House (which was UNREAL) and had a delicious breakfast prepared by the chefs of Ocean House, and learned how to make healthy smoothies and crepes.
DAY AT THE BEACH
After breakfast, we headed back down to the cabanas for a relaxing day by the beach.
Quick outfit change because we shot some pictures in the water, and my dress got soaked!
BOAT CRUISE & LILLY PULITZER SUITE
After our afternoon at the cabanas, we took a boat cruise around Watch Hill, and then checked out the Lilly Pulitzer Suite at Watch Hill Inn. Sadly, I had to duck out a bit early to make it back to NJ, so that’s where my trip ended. Thank you to the Lilly Pulitzer and Ocean House teams for making it an experience that I will never forget!
