Happy Friday! My travel posts are a bit overdue, but I did recently launch my Youtube channel with a fun tour of Ladera Resort, so make sure you take a peek! I think I’ve secretly been avoiding writing these posts because looking at these pictures makes me overwhelmingly happy but makes me miss St. Lucia so much! This November, my boyfriend and I went on a little getaway to Soufrière, St. Lucia, where we stayed at the beautiful Ladera Resort. I absolutely love traveling, and I’m really honest when it comes to reviews because I think each vacation should be special and almost surreal – especially if you’re investing money to go somewhere known for its beauty. Soufrière, St. Lucia and Ladera Resort blew my expectations away in every possible aspect. I really cannot say that enough! Welcome to paradise…
The above and below is our view from the hotel room. I know what you’re thinking, “Is that real?!” I’m still asking that myself! The room has an open wall and looks out onto the St. Lucian Pitons, as well as down on Sugar Beach. Upon arriving, we were greeted with a bottle of Veuve which we sipped while taking in the view. It was like stepping into our own private oasis.
The hotel restaurant, Dasheene, was wonderful, and I LOVED the breakfast options, especially. The French toast was so good that I had it for breakfast almost every day. The toast came with banana jam – which is so so delicious because bananas are one of the main exports of the island.
Exploring the resort was so much fun! It would occasionally rain for a few minutes, but felt wonderful and made everything so green and beautiful.
Our suite was located at the highest point of the resort: the Villas at Paradise Ridge. To get to Dasheene, the hot tubs, or the resort pool, it was about a 5 minute walk to the front of the resort. But seriously – what a VIEW!
Our perfect little villa – Paradise Ridge 1
We ate most of our meals at Dasheene because the food was so good, and they event had a separate Lobster menu! Who can resist that?! We also took advantage of the drinks, because who doesn’t love a good pina colada on vacation?
The resort had a cute little bar area near Dasheene that had live music every night. We loved the tropical vibes of the resort.
Our room had a private heated pool in the back, which we LOVED. You can see the whole room layout over on my Youtube channel.
If I could give Ladera Resort more than 5 stars, I would. From the food, to the hospitality, to the views and accommodations, this was definitely my favorite resort by far. Thank you, thank you, thank you Ladera for SUCH an amazing experience – something we will never forget!
